It is always sad to see businesses close down for whatever reason, especially restaurants. You miss that characteristic ambience, the feeling, the taste and most importantly the memories built over time while dining at a particular place. Something similar happened recently in downtown Las Olas where Café de Paris’, a French restaurant that served proficiently for many years, closed down leaving a void in the Fort Lauderdale French scene.
For the French cuisine lovers in the area, I feel that there is only one other authentic French option left and that is Thursday’s Fort Lauderdale.
Here at Thursday’s, we are well aware of the opportunity and the responsibility this presents. With over 40 years of experience in satisfying French food aficionados in Montreal, we are confident of doing the same here in Las Olas. We understand that the taste buds of locals here need something different, something unique – which is why we have developed a menu that presents the traditional French cuisine with an American twist. The menu offers something for everyone. From French onion soup to fish and chips and steak frites to Florida grouper, poutine, omelets, salads and burgers – we have all that and more.
When you visit Thursday’s, we will make sure that you come back again, not just for the great food but for the distinctive amalgam of recipe, décor, location, value for money and great customer service. We are aware of the fact that it has only been a short time since we opened our doors on Las Olas, but the dazzling reviews from the customers that have had a chance to experience our hospitality speak for themselves. Now we want to continue to build on those reviews and be the go to French restaurant for the locals of Fort Lauderdale.
